The birdsong Steel Orchestra is happy to announce the return of Robbert Greenidge as our arranger for Panorama 2020. Last year (2019), Robert's outstanding arrangement of Farmer Nappy's Hookin' Meh was widely acclaimed, leading the band to an appearance at the Panorama Semis. Indeed, many pan aficionadoes felt that birdsong should have made all the way to the National Finals.
But this should not be a surprise, as Robert has become synonymous with the success that 11 times Panorama Champions Desperados enjoyed since the 1970s. Indeed, he was arranger and composer for two of these Panorama victories (1991- Musical Volcano and 1994 Fire Coming Down). Robert is also one of Trinidad and Tobago's most accomplished and versatile musicians having performed and recorded with artists including; Keith Moon, John Lennon, Grover Washington, Wayton Marsalis, Earth Wind, & Fire and Lionel Richie. He is currently a member of Jimmy Buffet's legendary Coral Reefers.
Panorama rehearsals resume on Monday, January 06, 2020, at 6pm, our UWI location — Old Works Building, Agostini Street, St. Augustine.
